The use of nude models is one of the most misunderstood things about being an artist. The idea of wild bacchanals with young, naked women and/or men gamboling about the studio, in and out of bed, makes, depending on how you view such things, most pleasing and possibly titillating or a shocking and disgusting idea. The truth is usually much more mundane. Modeling is often arduous and boring, most of the time totally devoid of sexual overtones. Never the less, I find it a pleasant and intense way to spend an afternoon.
